On Feb 16, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong delivered the Budget 2024 Statement in Parliament, where he outlined plans for further cost-of-living relief measures for Singaporeans and detailed steps to implement the objectives laid out in the Forward Singapore roadmap. These objectives include fostering economic growth, creating higher-quality jobs, and enhancing support for families and seniors. In this study, we delve into the sentiments towards Budget 2024. We explore how Singaporeans and residents perceive these new initatives/measures and their thoughts on its effectiveness in addressing the rising cost of living. Additionally, we uncover their views on upskilling and whether they've utilised Skillsfuture, as well as their interest in improving expertise in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).
